Big brands know that marketing = sales. Even with the advent of Ai, the most successful brands still utilize “tried and true” marketing strategies. Entrepreneurs can also implement these classic tactics for great results (big revenues).
1. Pratfall Effect
By celebrating the human side of your brand your customers will appreciate knowing that sometimes things do not go as planned. The Pratfall Effect holds that when a consumer sees somebody they hold in high esteem make a mistake, they appear more likable and relatable, which leads to more sales for the brand.
2. Choice Paradox
If you give consumers 24 pairs of jeans to choose from, it will be difficult for them to “pull the trigger.” But, if there are only 2 jeans to pick from, it is more probable they will buy one. This is the Paradox of Choice – when presented with too many choices, consumers will find it harder to make purchasing decisions and will be less happy with the decisions they make.
3. Mere Exposure Effect
The key here is consistency. Repeat the SAME brand message throughout ALL platforms (website, emails and promotional materials – flyers, SM posts, business cards, stickers). Consumers will appreciate it. The Mere Exposure Effect states that the more consumers are exposed to your brand (& its message), the more likely they are to favor (buy) your product/service.
4. Loss Aversion
Telling consumers what they are missing out on if they don't buy your goods will reap more sales. FOMO is real. The pain of losing something is often far greater than the joy of gaining the same thing.
I found an article on a blog about websites with texture and decided to apply the knowledge I gained to create a more unique and expressive design on my site. Using textures helped add spice and visual interest, improving the user experience. Now the pages look more dynamic and professional, visitors stay on the site.
